EXPLOREWORK WITH ME

For fifteen years, I worked at the highest levels of nuclear science: managing research programs, leading international teams, and building a career that looked extraordinary from the outside.

Then my body hit a wall...and I had no choice but to stop.

art is wellness

The year I took to rest, travel, and rebuild everything from the inside out became the most important research of my life. I learned that beauty is not decorative - it is necessary. That the body knows things the mind cannot. That a slower life is not a smaller one.

That experience led me to found Astreya - a private fine art gallery and sanctuary - and to develop a body of work at the intersection of neuroscience, somatic practice, and photography.

I am currently based in San Diego and relocating to the south of France, where I am building the next chapter of this work.

Astreya is a private fine art gallery and breathwork studio built on the proven science of neuroaesthetics and somatics: how beauty, environment, and stillness reshape the nervous system.

This is calm, by design.

seeking stillness: building a neuroaesthetic life

seeking stillness: building a neuroaesthetic life

As I relocate my gallery and art practice to the south of France, 'Seeking Stillness' documents a dream life in progress.

I write about building a life that actually feels good: through art, environment, neuroscience, breathwork, and what I'm learning along the way.

Follow along for the practical - the somatic tools I use when fear shows up at 2am, the framework I use to know when it’s time to leave something, the specific practices that keep me regulated through chaos - and the personal - what it feels like to dismantle a life and rebuild it somewhere else, what the Côte d’Azur looks like at 7am, what it means to finally arrive at the place you’ve always been going.
