While there are many types of breathwork, I teach and practice pranayama - the very foundation of ancient yogic traditions that dates back over 5,000 years.

As a result, if you've ever taken a yoga class, you've done breathwork. That's because yoga positions were developed over centuries to sync the body, breath, and mind - for the purpose of preparing for meditation and finding oneness with the self and universe.

Within pranayama, there are two categories of breathing methods: energizing and calming. In these virtual sessions, we will focus primarily on the calming methods in order to reduce stress, find inner peace, and foster a deeper connection with ourselves.

Upon purchase of your session(s), I will contact you via email to set up a day and time for your one-hour session, based on what is most convenient for your schedule. I will send you a Zoom meeting invite, along with event reminders.

Here's what your one-hour session will look like:
  1. We will begin the session seated, with the first 5 minutes or so introducing ourselves and the outline of the session, as well as answering any questions you may have. If you have back or knee issues, we can do the entire session seated in a chair or reclined on a couch.
  • We will then begin with 20 minutes of the breath portion of the practice, which oxygenates the body, calms the mind, and prepares us for meditation.
  • We will then shift into 15 minutes of meditation, where we practice clearing the mind of thought and (perfection is not the goal, simply presence).
  • We will then transition into 10 minutes of savasana, which integrates the body and mind (always the best part of yoga class!).
  • The final 10 minutes will be a gentle wrap-up, discussing what came up for you during the session, and how to carry this practice into your daily life.

You are welcome to provide props that bring you comfort during the session, and I am happy to help you choose them. I recommend a yoga bolster or meditation cushion; 2 yoga blocks; a yoga mat; a throw blanket; and an eye mask or eye pillow. Water or tea is also great to have on hand.

who this is for

who this is for

I am a PhD nuclear engineer who spent fifteen years building a career that looked extraordinary from the outside — but left me chronically ill, exhausted, and depleted.

What brought me back was not a retreat, an app, or a productivity hack. It was learning how to build my life around calm - with the biggest results coming from a daily breathwork and meditation practice.

I believe in the power of these methods so much that I became certified in breathwork and meditation, so I could help others return to themselves, too.

Everything in these virtual sessions is what I actually use myself - every. single. day.

I am a PhD nuclear engineer who spent fifteen years building a career that looked extraordinary from the outside — but left me chronically ill, exhausted, and depleted.

What brought me back was not a retreat, an app, or a productivity system. It was learning how to work with my own nervous system — just 90 seconds at a time.

I believe in the power of these methods so much that I became certified in breathwork and meditation, so I could help others return to themselves, too. And I built Practice of Peace because the toolkit that changed my life didn't exist when I needed it most.

Everything in this course is what I actually use - every. single. day.
